Elzybells Challange…Pattern Paper

It’s time for a card challenge with Elzybells stamps.  Challenge #35 is make your own patterned paper using stamps.  This was definitely a challenge for me but I’m proud to share these two cards.  For the first card I started out by drawing a grid using a pencil.  After I had drew out the squares I stamped a small solid heart using Pink Lemonade, Chocolate Brownie, and Strawberry Fool.  I erased the grid and stamped my valentine between the rows.  I was going to leave the card along but everything can use bling so I placed small gems between each heart.

For the second card I started out by stamping love is in the air with Strawberry fool around the border of craft colored paper.  I then drew a four sqaure grid and stamped the circle of hearts with Pink Lemonade.  I erased the lines and went back with a small solid heart and placed in the center of each circle. The last step was to stamp tiny hearts between the sentiment and add one more circle of hearts to the center using foam dots.  Simple ribbon and a matching button finish this card!

When you become a crafter you become a collector.  I mean when you by a container of brads are you really going to use all 100 of them?  So I came up with Paper Chic Embellishment Kits.  These kits allow me to create pre made embellishments while downsizing on my supplies.  All of these supplies are commercial made and I’m just combining products to make embellishments so you make cards and paper projects easier.  No two kits will be the same and they will be available on Etsy.  If you would like a kit made just for you with special colors or theme in mind please contact me.

Here is a baby embellishment kit that I created today using some notebooks to help inspire people to give handmade!  All you really need is matching card stock to wrap the notebook and adhesive.  You can tell by the picture that I have included a new ink pad and new pearl gems.  Yes this is what I find when I start cleaning out my crafting closet!  Check out my Etsy store for a complete list of supplies and this kit includes free shipping!!!

Sneak Peak…Day Four…

It’s day four and I have great ideas for quick gifts using Elzybells products.  For my first project I used several stamp sets and created a frosted coffee bag to hold sweet treats.  The first layer is stamped with swirls and dot stamps both from Heartstrings and the loves me loves me not is from Seasonal Sentiments 2.  The second layer is a circle of hearts with two smaller hearts from Valentine Tags 2.  All that was needed was ribbon and buttons from my stash.  When creating gift bags I always attach the top with brads just so everything stays in place!  I needed something sweet to place in this bag and of course they are covered in paper and stamps to match.  I stamped a heart and dot border onto Vanilla Cupcake then stamped loves me, loves me not onto small circles.  Small hearts and flowers are on tiny circles and wrapped around sweet tarts.  Sometimes its the small treats that make people happy!

Another creation is a sweet round tin that would be perfect for Valentine jewelry!  I first stamped let yourself bloom from Seasonal Sentiments onto Pink Lemonade and layering that onto Vanilla Cupcake.  After wrapping it around the tin I added small gems for sparkle.  The top is four stamped hearts and placed to form a flower.  For every gift you must have a card so I created a mini card out of Vanilla Cupcake and added the same mini hearts and embellishments.  Everything must match so one matching envelope coming up!!  I had a great time creating these projects using Elzybells products.  Be sure to check her store today to get your own!!

Day Three…Another Sneak Peak…

Day three of the sneak peak for Elzybells new stamps and these are by far my favorite!  I’m a gift giver and I love making things just to make people happy so this set was perfect for me.  I used Tags Valentine I & II  for both of these projects and they gave my packages the finishing touch they needed.  The next two projects were done using containers that when empty look totally different in my eyes!

The first project was an empty bottle that used to hold hot cocoa mix and after the mix was gone it’s perfect for jelly beans.  I started out by covering the bottle with Chocolate Brownie paper then layered with a round sentiment that reads: with love.  I stamped several small hearts on Vanilla Cupcake and I even mixed both pinks to get a different color.  Love it!  The Strawberry Fool scallop trim was stamped with the large hearts from Tags 1 and the smaller ones came from Heartstrings.  I then wrapped the top with raffia and added a to: tag using a small swirl heart and buttons from my stash.  Here’s a closer look st the bottle!

The second project was a plain tin that used to hold a gift card but now it holds sweet treats!  I covered the box with my favorite dot paper and started to stamp away.  I think I may have gone a little crazy but the end product is so cute.  I used the circle sentiment that reads: be mine then added a couple of hearts.  The swirl stamp came from the Heartstrings set and added a touch of whimsy.  I then added little hearts around the edge and to the hanging tag.

The outside turned out so cute that I added a sentiment: from the heart and mini hearts to the inside of the lid.  It’s all in the details!

Sneak Peak Day Two…

Here’s Day Two of Elzybells Sneak Peak Stamps and these are one of my favorites!!  Oh how I love this sweet little girl with balloons!  I made these cards pretty similar by using layers of card stock and simple sentiments.  After coloring the images with watercolor pencils I added glitter on and around the balloons for a bling element.   The first card I trimmed out a second balloon image and over lapped  on the first set of balloons to make it seem like she was be lifted away!   I added green dot ribbon to this card for a contrast in color.  I think this one is my fav!!  The second card was kept simple with the image and the sentiment being lifted with foam squares and very little embellishment.  To make it up for the lack of embellishments I stamped a single balloon on the inside.  I really like the image of the lonely balloon and it would be great to layer for birthday cards!
