I love reading about new craft projects and ideas.  One of my favorite magazines to purchase is CARDS by Northridge Media but they run about $20 each month without using a coupon.  Today I found out that you can subscribe to the whole family of publications for 9.95 a month (there is also a  24.95 one time price).  For that price you will receive monthly viewing of Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Bead Trends, and Simply Handmade.  For checking out their site you can also view for free Mini Albums. But for all this price think about the ideas you can get and view them whenever you want, print them for inspiration and its environmentally friendly.  After viewing the mini albums ideas it made me think about creating!  I went upstairs and made this band-aid tin with mini book tucked inside.

The paper is from Basic Grey Wisteria line and with embellishments such as buttons, blue pearl gems and rub-on stitching this turned out to be a perfect gift!

Baby Girl Mini book…

Here is a book that I finished for a co-worker that is having a baby girl in June.  I always make something for everyone’s birthday so having a baby should be no different.  The word book itself is from S.E.I. and the paper used is from Melissa Francis.  I purchased some Basic Grey baby rub-ons around Christmas time and thought I would never use them but they go great with this paper.

I really tried not to over embellish by only adding simple rub-ons and pearl gems.  I even added a couple of pages for more baby photos.

Even the back of the book is embellished with a cute little tag and a glittered hydrangea.  I have the over night shift for the next couple of days so please forgive me if nothing gets posted!  Have a great weekend!!!

Cupcake Mini Book for Your Sweetie…

I thought this would make a cute little gift for your someone special.  All you have to do is add a couple of photos and your own handwriting.  Remember that your photos don’t have to fit, they look just as cute sticking out the sides.

I covered the entire book in kraft colored paper and some scrap paper for the top.  A binder ring and ribbon hold this mini book together.

These two pages were decorated with random rub-ons from stash.  All the flowers were from Prima that I found at Michael’s.

Another project done but this one was a custom order.  I started by making the covers out of chipboard, covering them with paper, ribbon, and matching embellishments.  On one of my shopping trips I found a felt cupcake and ribbon that reads you’re my little cupcake.  She’s giving this as a gift and I know the person who receives this is going to love it!

Here’s another mini book using some scraps.  I covered all the pages with paper and matching embellishments.  There are also two pockets that each have a pull out tag that is great for journaling.  The snowflakes are from Imaginisce and they work so well with just a pearl in the middle.

I’m getting really low on paper so tomorrow I’m going to a new scrapbook store about 45 minutes from my house and I hope the drive and gas will be worth it.  I’ll post if I find anything good!
