Card Challenge…
Elzybells is blog that I check out daily for a dose of inspiration. I decided to step outside my box just slightly and take part in a Star Challenge. I used one of my favorite stamps which I colored in with watercolor pencils. I then added some glitter snow and stickles for sparkle. Embellishments were last which include a star brad, plaid ribbon, and cute matching buttons.

JOY Holiday Banner…

I loved the BOO! Banner so much that I decided to make one for the Holiday season. I went with JOY as not to get to carried away in all the steps this takes to complete. Starting with chipboard I covered each piece with several different patterns and layered on the embellishments. I then covered the letters with glitter and some of the glitter falls back off so I added a layer of matching stickles. Now it still sparkles and the loss of glitter is minimal. Last step add some ribbon and remember to leave enough for hanging! You could make this piece a family one by spelling out a last name and hanging over the fireplace for the holiday season!

Where has the day gone? I woke up this morning and was out the door by 9:30 am (This time change is really kicking my butt). Well today is my mom’s birthday so we spent the day together doing a little shopping and enjoyed a great lunch. We actually got some Christmas shopping done!!! So that being said I have got nothing else done but I thought I would share another completed pillow box and this one has a matching mini card. The paper and tag or both from Melissa Francis. The cute white flowers and holly leaves are from Making Memories, all I did was add green gems to the center. New green plaid ribbon and a pearl stick pin pulls everything together for a complete gift giving set!!

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days. I’ve had the last week off and I’m enjoying some time needed with the hubby. I also have a stack of special orders that I’ve almost gotten done. This is one of nine that I have finished. The customer that ordered these let’s me do my own thing and create using no direction. So I started out making this box and tag with no idea on how it would turn out. These are not colors that I usually think of when making Christmas items. But with the help of some scraps of Making Memories paper along with some rub ons that were in my stash I completed this cute set. To finish the embellishing I then added lace ribbon, a stick pin, and gold gems.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday and just maybe I’ll get something else done today to post tomorrow! Be sure to check out my Etsy shop and it’s free shipping for all custom orders!!
Chipboard Tree Ornament…

I’ve seen these square ornaments in magazines already this year and most of them were made out of felt. I have stacks of chipboard that I use for shipping and they are perfect for making these ornaments. All you need is to choose your size and pull out your scraps! I used some more Making Memories scraps and trees (are you tired of seeing them yet?) I then added snowflake rub ons with gem centers. Stickles for sparkle and snow cover the trees and hills. The back has a space to add a message so this makes a perfect addition to any package or tree!
