Sneak Peak Day Two…

Here’s Day Two of Elzybells Sneak Peak Stamps and these are one of my favorites!!  Oh how I love this sweet little girl with balloons!  I made these cards pretty similar by using layers of card stock and simple sentiments.  After coloring the images with watercolor pencils I added glitter on and around the balloons for a bling element.   The first card I trimmed out a second balloon image and over lapped  on the first set of balloons to make it seem like she was be lifted away!   I added green dot ribbon to this card for a contrast in color.  I think this one is my fav!!  The second card was kept simple with the image and the sentiment being lifted with foam squares and very little embellishment.  To make it up for the lack of embellishments I stamped a single balloon on the inside.  I really like the image of the lonely balloon and it would be great to layer for birthday cards!

LOVE Banner….

So this is the first banner I made for Valentine’s Day.  I made this one using 4 by 4 sqaures of chipboard so my mini pad of paper would fit perfect.  After placing the paper together for a base I started adding glittered chipboard letters, ribbon, gems, and so much more.  These banners are a great way to use spare embellishments and you can use a ton of them!  After making holes in the top I then added about a yard of black ribbon for easy hanging over a fireplace or even on a wall!!

Happy Holidays Ornament…

I’m really trying to use embellishments from my stash but once I saw these glittered branches from Making Memories I had to have them.   I decided to use the last of my paper mach’e and created this ornament.  I started out by covering the front and the back with paper and using one of the Happy Holidays as the sentiment.  I attached the branch with tacky tape and layered the flower on top to help hold everything together.  After wrapping the outside with matching ribbon I used Stickles to add some sparkle to the edges!  This would be great on a gift package and then hung on the tree!

As much as I love making cards I also love looking at others creations.  I have always enjoyed the simple designs of letterpress and how they are made.  Inking and pressing an image to get a crisp design.  You see them for weddings, birthdays, and even business cards.  So shopping around on Etsy I came across these simple birthday cupcake cards by simpleink.  Oh how amazing one little glitter cupcake looks.  One little cupcake says it all…Hooray!

JOY Holiday Banner…

I loved the BOO! Banner so much that I decided to  make one for the Holiday season.  I went with JOY as not to get to carried away in all the steps this takes to complete.  Starting with chipboard I covered each piece with several different patterns and layered on the embellishments.  I then covered the letters with glitter and some of the glitter falls back off so  I added a layer of matching stickles.  Now it still sparkles and the loss of glitter is minimal.  Last step add some ribbon and remember to leave enough for hanging!  You could make this piece a family one by spelling out a last name and hanging over the fireplace for the holiday season!
