Keeping it Simple…Valentine Cards…
With these two cards I tried to keep it simple but the embellishments got the better of me. I started with just the ribbon but I always feel that a card could use more. I used buttons, a stick pen, and a pale pink flower. For the circle I used a stamp from a Christmas set and then used a circle punch to create a base for the sentiment. Look through all your stamps and find ways to use them year round. I’m thinking pattern paper! Hopefully I’ll have some ideas soon!
You & Me Valentine Card…
Another Day off which gives me sometime to go to my crafting space. I got several cards and Birthday gifts done but wanted to share this card with you. I started out the morning by cleaning out my stash and putting everything into a giveaway pile and a keep pile. My mom loves it when I go through my stuff cause she gets all the goodies! So as I was digging through everything I came across this chipboard couple and thought they needed a card to live on. I kept the card really simple by layering paper and only adding ribbon for embellishment. A simple you & me rub on at the bottom corner finishes this card.
LOVE Banner….

So this is the first banner I made for Valentine’s Day. I made this one using 4 by 4 sqaures of chipboard so my mini pad of paper would fit perfect. After placing the paper together for a base I started adding glittered chipboard letters, ribbon, gems, and so much more. These banners are a great way to use spare embellishments and you can use a ton of them! After making holes in the top I then added about a yard of black ribbon for easy hanging over a fireplace or even on a wall!!
And Two Hearts…
I think that it’s time to say goodbye to the Christmas creations and move onto Valentine’s Day. Hubby and I have never exchanged gifts or cards but I still love making the stuff! I started out using scraps from Valentine’s past and pieced together this card with some Basic Grey. I then added a swirly rub on that needed some pearls on the ends for bling. The little rub on the bottom reads: and two hearts become one. As with all of my cards I decorate the inside with matching paper and the inside of this card also reads: becomes one. I kept the embellishments to a minimum by using hearts and brown ribbon across the top.

Create A Package Challenge…
I can’t believe that I’ve completed another card challenge from Elzybells. This time it’s about the packaging and I chose this clear card box. I kept the box itself pretty simple just by wrapping it with paper, twine and adding a button. I then created four cards using Basic Grey paper, ribbon, and stickles. I stamped the image on matching paper and cut out the dress for a paper piecing affect. I have found that you can’t go too crazy on the embellishments if you want them all the cards to fit in the box so all I added was a stick pin through the ribbon!
